Bernad-Docker, Sanderson & Wong Selected to play at CJHL Prospects Game

Calgary, AB – (December 18, 2017)

Okotoks Oiler forwards Ben Sanderson (Calgary, Alta), Austin Wong (Cochrane, Alta) & defenceman Jacob Bernard-Docker (Canmore, Alta) have been selected to be a part of Team West at the CJHL Prospects Game.

Sanderson, Wong, & Bernard-Docker are three of 40 NHL draft-eligible prospects selected to the game in conjunction by the CJHL and NHL Central Scouting.

In his rookie season Sanderson, 17 has scored 18 points in 27 games (13 goals, 5 assists). Sanderson was recruited from the Calgary Northwest Flames of the Alberta Midget Hockey League (AMHL) where he scored 26 points in 32 games (13 goals, 13 assists).

In his sophomore season Wong, 17 has 28 points in 30 games (14 goals, 14 assists) and includes an invite to Team Canada West’s selection camp earlier this month. In 83 games in an Oiler uniform Wong has 48 points (24 goals & 24 assists) and is committed to The University of Harvard Crimson.

Also in his 2nd year in the AJHL (Alberta Junior Hockey League) Bernard-Docker, 17 has 21 points in 26 games (9 goals, 12 assists) including 4 power-play goals and 3 short-handed goals and he’s coming off a gold medal with Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge in Truro, Nova Scotia where he had 3 points in five games (1 goal, 2 assists). In 80 games with the green and gold, Bernard-Docker has 43 points (16 goals, 27 assists) and is committed to the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks.

Bernad-Docker, Sanderson & Wong will now round our total to six (6) Oilers to represent the Organization at the game. Joining alumnus Brad Eidness (2006), Roger Craig (2008) and Rhett Gardner (2015).

 

The game will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd at 7:30 PM Eastern at the Port Credit Memorial Arena in Mississauga, Ontario.
