The Okotoks Oilers are pleased to announce that graduate goalie Keith Hamilton has committed to the University of Guelph for the 2013/2014 season. The Guelph Gryphons play in the CIS – Ontario University Athletic Association.
Keith joined the Oilers for his 20-year old season, after spending the previous two seasons in the WHL with the Victoria Royals and Portland Winterhawks. Keith finished the 2012-2013 season with a 13-6-1 record, a 2.35 Goals Against Average and .917 Save Percentage.
Oilers Coach James Poole stated, “The University of Guelph is getting a great person and goaltender in Keith Hamilton. Keith played an important role in our second half success giving us a chance to win every night he played. Keith was also a very positive impact in our dressing room at all times through his commitment, work ethic and professionalism towards the game of hockey and the Okotoks Oilers hockey club.”
The Oilers organization would like to thank Keith for his commitment to the Oilers organization and wish him the best of luck in his academic and athletic pursuits at the University of Guelph.
