Kyle Moore joins Okotoks Oilers front office

OKOTOKS, AB (July 8, 2021) ““ The Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are pleased to welcome Kyle Moore as the team”™s new Business Operations Coordinator, it was announced today.

In his new role, Moore will help to steer the day-to-day administration of the hockey club, including outreach and partnerships with local businesses and community organizations.

“We”™re excited to welcome Kyle to the Oilers,” said Tyler King, Assistant General Manager (Business Operations). “His background in our league and the sport, coupled with his educational and professional qualifications, made him an ideal choice to help drive the ongoing operational modernization of our team.

“We”™re confident that Oilers fans and the wider Okotoks community will appreciate his enthusiasm and personality as he becomes a familiar face in the coming months,” he added.

Moore was selected for the position after a competitive search process that saw more than 45 applicants for the opportunity.

An alumnus of the AJHL, Moore played for the Olds Grizzlys in the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. In the former, he was part of the team that notoriously upset Okotoks in the first round of the playoffs. In the latter, he served as an alternate captain for the squad in which he recorded 40 points in 58 games, added a team-leading 142 penalty minutes, and helped propel the team to what still stands as its winningest season in the past 11 years.

Subsequently, he played two seasons for the University of Lethbridge, where he was named an Academic All-Canadian and completed his Bachelor of Management in 2019.

Most recently, he was a familiar face to audiences across the country as a contestant on the ninth season of Global TV”™s Big Brother Canada, which aired from March to May of this year.

“After being on the other side of this team during my years in the AJHL, I couldn”™t be more excited about joining a winning organization with an exceptional reputation,” Moore said. “Hopefully, my hard work here can help Oilers fans forgive me for their early 2014 playoff exit.”

Corporate partnership opportunities for the coming Oilers season are available, with new in-game sponsorships coupled with high-exposure physical advertising space at Pason Centennial Arena. For more information, call the Oilers office at 403-995-2255 or email admin@okotoksoilers.com.
