OKOTOKS, AB (November 16, 2022) — For the second time this season, Okotoks Oilers sophomore defenceman Nick Wolfenberg (Calgary, AB) has been named the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) Defensive Player of the Week.

Wolfenberg registered seven points (1 goal, 6 assists) in four games last week. He is currently the eighth-highest scoring defenceman in the AJHL this season, and sits fourth among defencemen in goals after scoring his sixth on Friday in Lloydminster.

He had previously won the award for the second week of the season, from September 26th to October 2nd. He is also the second consecutive Oiler to win the award, after recently acquired defenceman Rylan Brown (Sherwood Park, AB) won the award last week.

The Oilers are on the road Friday in Drumheller before returning home to host the Canmore Eagles on Saturday at 7 PM. Tickets are available online at tickets.okotoksoilers.ca.
