With the win, the Oilers take a 3-0 series lead and can close out the South Quarterfinal on Wednesday night in Game 4.
Cooper Sharp had the only goal of the first period, giving Camrose a 1-0 lead off a shot from the high slot just 3:35 into the game. In the second, Alex Bryson scored on a sharp angle shot from the left side to double the Kodiak advantage 3:37 into the frame. Sam Huck (Calgary, AB) responded with a power play rebound goal at 5:27 to get the Oilers on the board, but the visitors still trailed 2-1 despite outshooting Camrose 11-5 in the period.
But the Oilers dominated in the third, despite not breaking through until the 14:02 mark when Ethan Rowland (Calgary, AB) fed a perfect cross-slot pass to Ty Yoder (Tofield, AB) who one-timed home the tying goal from the left side of the net to make it 2-2. Then, with only 3:45 left in the game, Huck drove into the attacking zone, evading two Camrose players and a fallen referee before getting a shot away that went off the pad of Camrose goalie Freddie Halyk, but produced a rebound that team captain Dean Spak (Calgary, AB) tapped home for the 3-2 final score.
The Oilers outshot Camrose 38-26 in the game, going 1 for 5 on the power play and a perfect 4 for 4 on the penalty kill.
