Oilers Swap Veterans with Trail

September 11, 2012

The Okotoks Oilers have moved 19-year old forward Connor Collett to the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCHL for 19-year old defenseman Max Mowat

Connor Collett played the past two seasons with the Oilers and recorded 22 goals and 55 points in 114 career games played.

“Connor is a great kid, and was a positive influence on and off the ice for the Oilers in his two seasons.   The Oilers organization would like to thank Connor for his commitment to the Oilers program and wish him all the best in his new opportunity with Trail.”

Max Mowat, from Vernon BC, played the previous two seasons with the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL.  In 80 games played with the Vipers, Mowat recorded 25 points and 44 penalty minutes.

“The Oilers would like to welcome Max to the organization and look forward to his contributions on & off the ice.  We feel Max will solidify an already solid blue-line while also bringing BCHL championship & RBC Cup experience to the Oilers program.”
