OKOTOKS, AB (February 28, 2022) — The Okotoks Oilers will host a playoff game for the first time in nearly three years, when they host the Blackfalds Bulldogs for Game 1 of their best-of-seven AJHL South Division Quarterfinal on Friday night at 7 PM.
The Oilers will host the first two games on Friday, March 4 and Saturday, March 5 at 7 PM, before heading to Blackfalds for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday, March 8 and Wednesday, March 9 at 7 PM.
If necessary, Game 5 would be in Okotoks on Friday, March 11 at 7 PM, Game 6 in Blackfalds on Sunday, March 13 at 6 PM, and Game 7 back in Okotoks on Tuesday, March 15 at 7.
It’s the second time the two franchises have met in the post-season; the Oilers took on the Bulldogs’ predecessor the Calgary Mustangs in the second round of the 2011 playoffs, winning the series four games to none.
The last Oilers playoff game was April 7, 2019 in Game 6 of the South Division Final against Brooks.
Tickets for Games 1 and 2 of the series are on sale now at tickets.okotoksoilers.ca. Season ticket holders will see an offer for the Playoff Package, giving them tickets to all playoff games, in their account when they log in. If they release the offer, they will instead get an offer for their seats for each individual game, which will be held until noon on each game day.
