Oilers trade Reschny to Grande Prairie

OKOTOKS, AB (December 1, 2022) — The Okotoks Oilers have traded 2003-born forward Austin Reschny (Macklin, SK) to the Grande Prairie Storm in exchange for future considerations, the team announced today.

The move comes ahead of the December 1st cutdown deadline.

Reschny, 19, scored 9 points (3 goals, 6 assists) in 24 games for the team in his second season with the Oilers organization. Previously, he recorded 17 points (4 goals, 13 assists) in 52 games in his rookie campaign, adding 5 points in 12 playoff games, after joining the team from the U18 Northern Alberta Xtreme of the CSSHL.
