Okotoks Oilers acquire Zeth Kindrachuk from Cranbrook

OKOTOKS, AB (July 25, 2022) – The Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) have signed 2002-born forward Zeth Kindrachuk (Calgary, AB) for the upcoming 2022-23 season, the team announced today.

Kindrachuk, 19, joins the Oilers after two seasons in the British Columbia Hockey League with the Cranbrook Bucks, for whom he scored 16 points (5 goals, 11 assists) in 50 games, including three points (2 goals, 1 assist) in the team’s six-game playoff run this past season.

The 5’10”, 160lb forward previously competed for the Calgary Royals U18 AAA squad, for whom he had 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) in 23 games in the 2019-20 season.

A familiar name to Oilers fans, his older brother Zane played for the Oilers from 2017 to 2021, playing in the fifth-most games of any player in franchise history – 170 – before graduating to Niagara University.
