Okotoks Oilers release 2021-22 schedule

OKOTOKS, AB (June 29, 2021) ““ Preparations are moving into gear for the 2021-22 Okotoks Oilers season, as the team”™s full 60-game schedule was released today by the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

The team will host nine Friday home games, ten on Saturday, five Tuesdays, three Holiday Monday games, one Thursday nighter, and one Sunday matinee.

The schedule begins with a road weekend in Camrose on September 17th and 18th.

Highlights this year include a Halloween weekend home-and-home with the Brooks Bandits on October 30th and 31st, a Thanksgiving Monday game against the new league entrant Blackfalds Bulldogs, and a Family Day game in February against the Calgary Canucks.

The season ends with a home-and-home with Blackfalds, hosting the Bulldogs on Friday, February 25th before going there the following night to cap off the campaign.

In total, the team will play each South division team three times at home, and three times on the road, with a home-and-home series with each of the eight North division teams and two additional interdivision games at the AJHL Showcase on September 30th and October 2nd.

As announced yesterday, the Oilers will open their home schedule against the Canmore Eagles on Friday, September 24th at 7:00 PM.

The team will play a five game exhibition campaign, with pre-season home games on Friday, September 3rd against the Calgary Canucks at Pason Centennial Arena, and on Saturday, September 11th against the Brooks Bandits at Scott Seaman Arena in Dewinton.

Season ticket information for the upcoming season will be released in the coming weeks on OkotoksOilers.ca, with 2019-20 season ticket holders offered the first right to renew their previous seats.
