OKOTOKS OILERS TRADE FOR A 20 YEAR OLD FORWARD

January 10, 2017

For Immediate Release

The Okotoks Oilers Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club wish to announce a recent trade with the Canmore Eagles of 19 year old defensemen Travis Verveda for 20 year old forward Colby Livingstone.

Livingstone a 6’1”, 190 lbs native of Creston, BC who spent the last season and a half with the Eagles, will bring some size and strength to the Oilers front end.  In 55 games, during his time as an Eagle he has recorded 15 goals and 26 assists for a total of 41 points combined with a total of 80 penalty minutes Colby will be a welcomed addition to our forward lineup.  The Oilers are looking to this addition to our roster and having Livingston in the line-up on Wednesday.

The entire Okotoks Oilers Organization would like to thank Travis Verveda for his dedication both on and off the ice over the course of the last season and a half.  Travis is an all-around character kid that any organization would be happy to have.  We wish Travis all the best in his future endeavors and all the success in both his hockey and academic career.
