Oilers follow up dominant 8-0 win in last game with rematch in Calgary

The Oilers take on Calgary for the third consecutive game tonight, following up a 6-4 win at the Max Bell Centre on March 14th and an 8-0 win at home last Friday night. It will be Okotoks”™ fourth match back since the AJHL”™s Return to Play.

LAST TIME OUT
The Oilers scored three times in the first period, once in the second, and four times in the third en route to a dominant 8-0 victory over the Canucks at home exactly one week ago. Brady Parker stopped all 30 shots he faced as the Oilers outshot Calgary 40-30. Bowden Singleton led the way with a goal and three assists, while Eric Parker, Cale Sanders, and Blake Jacques all had three point nights with a goal and two assists each. In all, nine Oilers notched multi point efforts.

FIRST TIME?
Rookie forward Nolan Flint scored his first career goal against Calgary last Friday, with what turned out to be the game-winner, a perfectly placed wrist shot off the rush midway through the opening frame. Rookie Brett Huxley also got his first, cleaning up a net front scramble in the first period to give the Oilers a 3-0 advantage. Finally, Dean Spak also recorded his first in the AJHL with the second period’s only goal, firing one in from the side of the net after a point shot ricocheted off the end boards to him.
