The Okotoks Oilers Jr. A Hockey Club are pleased to announce the final addition to our coaching staff. Ryan Barrett has recently accepted the position of Assistant Coach & Team Sponsorship.
Over the past season, Ryan Barrett has been behind the scenes assisting the team in the role of Scout and as one of our Hockey Development Coaches. Barrett comes with an extensive background where he has been involved in coaching for more than seventeen years. Having been involved with organizations like the Calgary Royals/Mustangs and the Calgary Jr. A Canucks, Ryan has held several different positions within these two organizations including the roles of Assistant Coach, Head Coach, Director of Hockey Operations, General Manager, and as a Member of a Jr A Team’s Board of Directors. This extensive experience has provided him with a clear insight and understanding for the junior hockey environment and more specifically the AJHL.
The Okotoks Oilers Organization would like to welcome Ryan to the Oilers Team and look forward to a successful 2016-17 hockey season.
