Veteran Chris Collins Added

The Okotoks Oilers are pleased to announce the addition of 20-year old forward Chris Collins to the team

Chris, from Calgary Alberta, spent the previous three seasons in the WHL with the Chilliwack Bruins and Saskatoon Blades.  During that span, Chris recorded 37 goals, 71 assists for 108 points in 200 career games played.  Prior to the WHL, Chris starred for the Calgary Midget AAA Buffaloes.  In his two seasons with the Buffaloes, Chris won two AMHL & Pacific Regional Championships, won AMHL Top Forward in 2008-2009 and also scored a hat trick in the Mac’s Midget Championship final game to lead the Buffaloes to the title.

“The Okotoks Oilers would like to welcome Chris to the organization.  Chris is a quality individual who has game breaking ability and brings a passion level that will only add to an already positive team culture.”

The Oilers expect Chris to be in the lineup Friday night in their home opener against the Spruce Grove Saints at 7:00pm at Pason Centennial Arena.
