DRUMHELLER, AB (October 8, 2021) ““ Parker Sawka (Cochrane, AB) saved all 28 shots he saw for his first shutout as an Okotoks Oiler, in a 2-0 road win in Drumheller over the Dragons on Friday night.
Despite being outshot 28-20 in the game, the Oilers got goals from Bowden Singleton (Calgary, AB) and Ethan Jamernik (Calgary, AB) en route to the nailbiter win, solidified by a bevy of late saves in the third period.
Singleton”™s marker came just 5:38 into the game on a neutral zone feed from Sam Huck (Calgary, AB). Singleton drove in down the left side and fired a low shot past Drumheller goalie Eric Ward to open the night”™s scoring.
In the second, Jamernik converted at the 13:04 mark on a perfectly placed wrist shot from the right faceoff circle, recording his first goal of the young season.
